How many blades of grass must I watch grow?
just one for a very low time...

How many cuts must i see sawn?
as many as you like just so long as they rhyme...

And how many trees must I fell...
just to keep myself warm?

There is still time to relearn everything and
watch the trees grow through the cracks in the road.
We can walk everywhere, eat herbs and weeds,
not fight birth and death and see the clear rivers flow.

Well that blade of grass just grew and grew and
I found myself in the garden

And those cuts i made, well some of them were true
and I found myself I built a little shelter.

And the trees I felled had already seeded themselves,
the forest will go on and on,

There is still time to relearn everything
and we got to let the trees - just grow.
